it would be great if the wishield developers would put out a library for that.
Or a user could do this! Think of the accolades (and following support nightmares) that would follow!

WiServer is a great example of this; its not an AsyncLabs work, rather a work provided by a user who saw a need. Now it is distributed with the AsyncLabs libraries and has helped out a lot of users. It has also created a support nightmare as it does have some limitations and there are users who want it to work in ways that the original author never considered.
The whole idea of "open source" is to take something that is already there (or not) enhancing it and giving back to the community. I'd take a look at OSC but don't currently have a need for it. But in reality OSC (from my limited research) is a fairly simple text based protocol.
I am almost ready to start the "OSC challenge" where users would be challenged to write an OSC library and the best submission would win an AsyncLabs product (at my expense). I'll also make it clear that I am not affiliated with AsyncLabs - other than being a user who thinks their products are really cool!
Think the "OSC challenge" is a good idea? Ready to prove your chops? Then follow up and we can talk about it!
