Multiple Wiserver instances

Postby stimp » Sun Aug 29, 2010 12:19 pm

I am planning a project in which I will have multiple Wiserver devices in one local network. What would be the best approach to being able to connect to the seperate devices within the local network from a remote computer? Is it for example possible to assign different ports in the Wiserver code, so I can choose the port to connect from a remote computer?

Yes the WiShield can utilize multiple ports at a time. Make sure that you have allocated enough ports (connections/listeners) in uip-conf.h (header file in the WiShield lib code). I believe that WiServer is hardcoded to listen on port 80 - should not be too difficult to make changes to work around...
